Team Penning, a fun and popular equine sport with cow horses and cattle, now has a new twist. The National Ranking Systems International (NRSI) is bringing together team penners from all of North America in one ranking system.

Now, there will be a way for Team Penners everywhere to look beyond the scope of their local area or region, and find out where they stand among penners from all over the USA and Canada. Rider rankings, and horse performance records, will be available to any rider participating in the NRS.

There has already been a fantastic response. The NRSI can do for Team Penning what the PBR did for the sport of Professional Bull Riding. With approximately $350,000 in year-end awards and national recognition, the NRSI has plenty to offer both penners and show promoters.

Have you ever wondered where you rank in the world of Team Penning? Wouldn't it be great to be able to look up what your horse has won in his penning career? Would you like to check out the penning record of a horse you are considering for purchase?

The National Ranking Systems was formed to answer those questions - to help you know where you rank by facts and figures. The NRSI tabulates money earned from certified shows across North America. It doesn't matter if you are competing in the National Finals or at a local club penning. Your total dollars won from each certifed show is calculated for the entire year. Tracking of the earnings on your most favorite partner (your horse) is now available through NRSI.

All riders participating in the NRSI are ranked for the year, from the highest to the lowest. Winnings are tabulated from ALL classes in each certified show - no class is exempt.

Any Team Penning show can be certified with the NRSI regardless of size or association. A rider competing in Florida regional shows can know where they stand across the Nation and Canada.  A rider may then compare themselves with a rider in a similar class in Oregon, Texas or Wisconsin, for example.

The NRSI rankings are non-subjective, and the winnings are verified. It is not exclusive - we encourage both large and small, profit and non-profit promoters to certify their shows. Just as in the PBR, Canadian winnings are counted dollar for dollar.
